Poster Policy

Poster placement and authorisation

  • MONSU Caulfield manages the posters in Levels 1 and 2, S Building, and designated poster kiosks (located Level 2 between Buildings A & B, and Level 1 between S & N).

  • No club posters are permitted on the outside K building walkway-Level 2 or inside Level 3.

  • Posters erected elsewhere on the campus require the permission of the relevant faculty or service area managing the space. If it is a shared space, the permission of Facilities and Services (Level 1, T Building) will be required. If unsure, contact you Club Mentor or the MONSU Caulfield Clubs Officer.

  • Campus security will promptly remove posters not authorised by the relevant body. If authorisation is given for erecting of posters on campus, they are to be fastened with blu-tack only - strictly no tape or glue allowed and no posters allowed on glass surfaces.

  • Posters erected in areas managed by MONSU, must be approved through the MONSU Service Desk, Level 2, S Building. This is done with a stamp that is signed and dated by service desk staff. Posters in MONSU Caulfield-managed areas that do not have this stamp with a valid date will be removed immediately.

Location, length of approval & number of posters within MONSU Caulfield areas

  • Posters are only permitted on designated noticeboards and on the red brick area (S building) within the stairwell near the entrance closest to Coles Supermarket. If a noticeboard is marked "exclusive use by MONSU Caulfield", this area is not to be used unless the space has been designated to you.

  • Posters are NOT to be placed on any painted areas or glass windows and doors, without the permission of the MONSU Caulfield Clubs Officer. Any materials posted in these areas without permission will be removed immediately.

  • No more than the equivalent of fourteen (14) A4 sized posters of any one kind may be placed in MONSU Caulfield-managed areas at any one time.

  • Posters and notices advertising events shall be approved until the day following the event. All others will be approved for a period not exceeding one month, unless otherwise approved by the MONSU Caulfield Clubs Officer.

  • A clubs noticeboard with a section for each club is provided in the Student Lounge area (Level 2, S Building). This should be used for events and official notices (e.g. AGM meeting
    notice)

Other requirements

  • Clubs must acknowledge the support of the MONSU Caulfield by incorporating the MONSU Caulfield logo or "Affiliated with MONSU Caulfield" on all posters

  • No posters will be approved if they are of a nature that can be considered obscene, racist,
    sexist, or promoting illegal activity

  • The MONSU Caulfield Student Council can revoke the approval of any posters. In the mean
time, the MONSU Caulfield President or MONSU Caulfield Clubs Officer can act on behalf of the Council.
